Choose the rock festival acts by SMS

As part of Vodafone's sponsorship of the "Rock in Rio – Lisbon" festival in May and June 2004, Vodafone Portugal's customers will be able to vote via SMS for the bands they want to see play at the festival. This is the first time in the world that this method has been used to involve the public in choosing the performers at an event of this kind, according to Cellular News.

Vodafone customers will also be able to view live content from the event on their mobile phones via Vodafone live! and obtain tickets.
