Religious Chain messaging, a big hit in India
Cellphone users of all ages and wakes of life, are forwarding messages with religious motif. either to gain from a promised miracle or to keep "evil at bay", reports The Times of India.
"Psychiatrists and consumer activists say the phenomenon is pushing consumers into making SMS use a regular habit. And there are even suspicions that cellular companies may be initiating some of these chain SMSs".
