txTboard

txtboard.jpgThis was actually written up last year in the BBC and I had a post in my French SMS Chronicle, but here goes again in English, because it's an interesting application.

Bristol-based firm, The Applicance Studio, has developed a digital post-it note that can display text messages sent to it via SMS.

The txTboard is designed to be hung from a wall, or in the tradition of note sharing stuck on a fridge, and features a colour touch screen to display text messages sent from mobile phones.

Although the technology was developed with the aim of making it easier for households to leave messages for each other, it is not difficult to see how the ability to send a message to a particular place rather than a person could prove useful in an office environment.
