Singapore Telecom's «BizLive SMS»
Business-Times Asia reports on South-east Asia's largest phone company, Singapore Telecom, and it's success with a new corporate text-based messaging service introduced six months ago. Called BizLive SMS, it allows companies to market directly to mobile phone users who have opted-in (agreed) to receive promotions and other text messages - such as appointment reminders, restaurant bookings, lucky draws and surveys - from a list of companies. The biggest of which sends out close to 60,000 SMSs each month.
