Cell Phones Triggered Bombs

"The FBI said Wednesday that modified cell phones found during searches in Saudi Arabia following the May 12 bombing were rigged to detonate explosives by remote control". According to this article in Wired, it appears the bomb went off following an incoming call, but SMS detonated bomb stories abound on the Web. An interesting note posted by Dave Farber reflecting on terror situations in Israel, recommends that Israelis consider keeping their cell phones turned off. And rumors of an SMS detonated explosive was prevelant during the investigation of the Sari Nightclub bombing in Bali, later denied by the police.
