Phone radiation levels compared
Aloysius Choong has updated CNet Asia's list of radiation levels -- "Specific Absorption Rates" or SAR -- of some latest phone models (LG, Motorola, Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Panasonic). The values published here are relevant to Singapore, and do not necessarily apply to other countries, but nevertheless it gives an indication.
Definition: ""Specific Absorption Rates" or SAR shows the absorption of energy by the human body in watts per kilogram (W/kg). The upper limit adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Singapore is 2.0 W/kg. The values listed in our chart represents the maximum SAR level with the phone next to the ear".
