Sending SMS from Microsoft Outlook
General Wireless, a Swedish mobile messaging company's software will be offered for integration into Microsoft Office 2003, allowing users to send SMS messages from Microsoft Outlook. Viva Technologies in Oslo, Norway, currently offers an SMS application called Mail SMS that it says can be integrated with Outlook, according to Infoworld.
And per an article in Cellular News, General Wireless has signed an agreement with O2 Ireland to enable O2 subscribers to send SMS messages from the MS Outlook application on their PC's, in an offering named "Desktop Text".
