Neighbourhood Vigilantes keep informed by SMS

A text message project aimed at bringing the crime rate down, is being extended across a UK town after proving to be a "wonderful success", according to an article in the BBC reported by SMS: Business Gets the Message. Police officers sent out text messages to a number of Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators who then forward on the messages to members.
