SMS your home appliances

In an article in Wired, signed by Elisa Batista, reporting from the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association show (CTIA) held in New Orleans, cell phones will remotely control household appliances in a very near future.

To show off its "home network line of products", LG Electronics of South Korea, ran a video featuring a mother starting her laundry away from home, and cooking remotely by inputting information on her cell phone. She also left a video message on the computer monitor of the refrigerator welcoming her children home from school and let them know what was cooking.
