Cell phone could be clue in attempted jewel heist
This is the second story this week where a dropped robber's cell phone, leads police to a suspect.
A piece of a cell phone could help lead investigators to suspects in the bungled robbery of a jewelry courier last month, reports the San Mateo County Times.
"San Carlos detectives have obtained phone records for a Los Angeles resident believed to be the owner of the phone, part of which may have fallen from a van used in the March 29 robbery, according to a search warrant".
