SMS-Alert finds missing little Dutch boy

This is such good news, on the day of the announcement of Amber Alerts in the US being extended to all kinds of mobile devices in 12 States.

"Only a month old, the SMS-Alert service in De Reeshof - a neighbourhood in the Dutch city of Tilburg - has already started reaping rewards: it helped track down a missing eight-year-old local boy on Sunday", according to DMeurope.

"His parents contacted the police after the boy failed to return after cycling to his grandparents' home. Within fifteen minutes of raising the alarm, a local resident found the boy - thanks to this new neighbourhood service."
