FunMail Unveils Mobile Comics Network
You may have figured this out by now, but the place to go to know all about mobile content deals is Moco News, edited by Rafat Ali. Ali won the European Online Journalism Award in 2003, for PaidContent.org, as best news weblog of the year.
Posted of note today, FunMail, a wireless applications company, has launched a new wireless service called Mobile Comics Network (MCN).
"MCN, launching December 1st, will enable mobile phone users to read daily comics starring characters such as Dilbert, Beetle Bailey, Dick Tracy, Herb and Jamal and Rose Is Rose.
MCN will let subscribers clip their favorite comics in a mobile scrapbook, and an intelligent "comics inbox" will save daily comics until the subscriber is ready to read them. MCN will cost approximately $1.99 per comic character for daily comics delivery".
