SMS alerts IT managers of "Blaster" worm's attack
Australian IT professionals were alerted of the "Blaster" worm's attack this week via text message, instead of e-mail. Why? During such systemic attacks (like the recent wave of Slammer infections), email traffic is by definition congested... so what better way to get critical "heads-up" alert to sysadmins than through cellular text-messaging?
