Sunburn alert phone unveiled

It looks like I'll have to consider opening a "summer cell phone" category, after the mosquito repellent cell phone, here comes the sunburn alert cell phone, developped by Japanese firm Macnica. "A tiny ultraviolet light sensor is mounted on a mobile phone to warn users of bright, sunburn-causing sunshine. With the help of a built-in GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) system, the phone could then also log the sunshine readings into a central database, creating a "sunburn map", said the report", reports CNet Asia.
