Downloading concerts legally on mobile phones
An Aussie website lets you legally download shows by top musicians. Lia Timson reports for The Sydney Morning Herald.
"It was just a matter of time before someone worked out how to improve those dreadful mobile phone recordings of live concerts we love as souvenirs of a great night out.
... As of last week, those who attended Paul Kelly's Stolen Apples show at the Sydney State Theatre can legitimately download the full performance - live banter, crowd noise and all - from www.liveband.com.au for $15.
The Australian singer-songwriter is one of several artists who, along with their recording studios, have agreed to allow start-up Liveband to produce and sell the recordings as keepsakes."
