Ringtones for land lines
AT&T is offering ringtones for your home phone. Trial runs started yesterday in both San Francisco and Indianapolis, according to The San Francisco Chronicle.
"The new service, called Answer Tones costs 99 cents per month for a subscription, then you pay $1.99 for each ringtone."
The service allows customers to select a special tone to play for each of their friends and family, from a wide variety of content that includes music, comedy, movie or TV clips, and celebrity sound bites.
