This is not really the first time an album is released excusively on a mobile phone. Other artists have pre-relased their albums as early as 2003. In June 2003, Ricky Martin released his new album in South Korea, on cellphones, six days before the worldwide release.

In April 2004, the German music group "SUPER SMART" released its complete album "Panda Babies" as polyphonic mobile phone ringtones with integrated voices and instruments only - and not on traditional media like CD or vinyl.
