Interactive hypertags campaing for "The War of the Worlds" on bus shelter poster

78m.jpg AURA Digital Communications will partner with United International Pictures (UIP) and Adshel to launch an interactive advertising campaign on bus shelter posters in Australia, using Hypertags, for the upcoming release of Steven Spielberg's The War of the Worlds, starring Tom Cruise.

Selected bus shelters have been chosen to display War of the Worlds posters using Hypertag technology. This allows the public to interact with the advertising panel through the infrared device in their mobile phone.

Consumers can download War of the Worlds mobile phone ring tones and wallpapers straight from the advertising sign free of charge. Advertisers will be able to measure consumer interactions to gauge the success of the campaign. [via e-mail press release]
