Billboard To Give Charts Short Codes For Mobile Downloads

Billboard magazine is planning to launch a mobile initiative in June which will eventually allow mobile phone users to download any song on its numerous charts using “short codes.”, reports James Pearce for Moco News.

"The codes will appear in the weekly early this summer. Apparently about 20 percent of Billboard's revenue is consumer driven, and Billboard president and publisher John Kilcullen expects that figure to double".
