The first ringtone movie?
Louiza Vick's short film "The Life of a Ringtone" recently won the best student film award USC's School of Cinema-Television in Atlanta, reports the Daily Trojan Online via Ringernews.com.
"The two-minute saga shows what it takes to bring a ring tone from someone's imagination to another's cell phone".
The movie opens with Murcia humming the tune. Then it cuts to a young man writing the music notes. Then he's playing the tune on the piano. After that, a soundboard appears inside a recording studio, with the volume bars shown peaking.
The film is part live action and part 3-D animation. The last scene is an animated cell phone, with the screen of the phone filling the movie screen and reads: "You got a ringtone."
