50 Cent, Jay-Z, OutKast Vie For Ringtone Honor

Tracks by 50 Cent, Jay-Z and OutKast will battle for the first ringtone of the year honor at the Billboard Music Awards, to be held Wednesday (Dec. 8) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, reports billboard.com.

"The award is based on sales tracked by the new Billboard Hot Ringtones chart.

This award recognizes the growth of the cell phone as a digital commerce platform for music consumption and will be a staple of our awards show for years to come."
