MusiKube Announces Mobile Music Recognition For Smartphones

MusiKube, a NYC-based developer of music recognition and discovery solutions for wireless, has launched its iCapture mobile music recognition and discovery solutions for smartphones [one thing the company should be worried about: iCpature is an Apple-related product, so not a good idea]..

It's technology uses both the cameraphone for barcode scanning as well as the normal phone music recogniction like Shazam does...The iCapture Barcode Recognition Service turns camera phones into music discovery devices by allowing consumers to scan barcodes on albums, advertisements, concert posters and other print media, such as in-store displays. The iCapture Audio Recognition Service lets users dial a toll-free phone number and hold their phone near the music for 10 seconds.
