Ringtonia Hits NYT, Sorta

New York Times wakes up on ringtones, and so is U.S., it contends..the market is begining to grow leaps and bounds in U.S., and comapanies like Xingtones can either help the labels, or undercut them, according to different points of view...

In an interesting use of Xingtones ringtone-making software (you'll read more about it here), Sugarcult, a pop band that will include a limited version of Xingtone's software on its new CD's, allowing users to make their own ring tunes. To make ring tunes with other music, users would buy Xingtone's full software program, and Sugarcult would split the revenue.
