Asia's First Mobile Music Recognition Service

Malaysian telecom operator DiGi will be launching a music recognition service, which allows its users to identify a song title and artist using their mobile phones, according to this story.

The current database of music which Point will support consists of 1.7 million international English song titles, with more songs -- especially Malay and Chinese -- to be included over time, DiGi said.

Similar service already exist elsewhere: Shazam in UK and Europe, and imminent launch of Gracenote's service with Philips, in U.S.
