The Mobile Content Vending Machine

1735_large.jpg A new vending machine selling ringtones, graphics, games and applications is being launched in the US in a test market by seven retailers who own approximately 12,000 retail locations nationally.

"Through the Mobile Content Vending Machine, customers browse a comprehensive selection of mobile content products, preview what the product sounds or looks like, then purchase the product by entering cash directly into the machine. Once the customer has completed the purchase, the product is sent instantly, over-the-air to their mobile phone", according to mobilemag via Gizmodo.

Elsewhere: Last April, Eotoday.com announced a partnership with Sony Thai for the operation of a music downloading service called Music 4U, available through ringtone kiosks to be installed in 16 Sony shops in Bangkok.
