"Acclaimed photographer and artist Henry Reichhold, has taken pictures in nine cities on five continents with a Nokia N95 phone. Thee images are up to 7m (23ft) wide panoramas. Metro reports via Spluch. "Reichhold took the pictures by using sequential firing to get six shots in a row, building up 30 images of the sky, each with one-third overlap. The 52-year-old , from South Kensington in West London, started using his mobile because it was small and convenient to carry around. "When people see the potential in a mobile phone, they will be stunned by the colour and the quality and, hopefully, look at the phones in a different light," he added. The pictures are featured in his Connected World exhibition – which runs in 'real' and 'virtual' (Second Life) format. "Camera-phone photographers do like print copies of some of their work. Four in 10 consumers said they had printed out pictures taken with their camera phones. More than one-half of working women and grandmothers said they had done so. ... About 40% of respondents surveyed said that there were photos they had taken by camera phone that they would like to print." "Nokia has quietly started embedding links on its N95 multimedia phone around the globe that connect users with mobile sites run by the media giants and other content providers. A Nokia spokeswoman confirmed that the company plans to announce additions to its Video Center as early as this week ahead of the MIPCOM conference in Cannes. She added that Nokia eventually will include the links on phones other than the N95. In the case of News Corp., users can travel straight to the company's Jamster and Jamba sites and get free access to Fox "mobisodes" like "24" as well as to video clips and outtakes from such films as "The Simpsons Movie" and "Borat," Fox Mobile Entertainment president Lucy Hood said." Things have changed. Today, they're as light as eyeglasses, cost less than $500, and the video players will fit in your pocket.
