Sky News on user-generated contents

After Reuters and the BBC, Sky News is testing the user-generated content waters. For the needs of a new television program called Green Britain that will start on Monday, January 8, users are invited to send snapshots and videos of climate change, environment related projects, and local initiatives in the UK.

Behind the scene, the service will be powered by Google multi-platform User Generated Video (UGV) portal. The site will allow users to edit, upload and share their own video content, including from cellphones, says the release. (via Simon Dickson)
