Fierce Mobile Cintent reports tha U.K. mobile media firm Player X in partnership with Universal Mobile Entertainment is making an animated made-for-mobile series of two-minute shorts based on 80s hit TV shows like "Magnun P.I." and "Knight Rider".

"They are very much a tongue-in-check versions of the original shows, capitalizing on our now-hip interpretation of the cheesy shows that everybody took seriously back in the day. They will go live in the first quarter of next year."
