Cambodia gets 3G but videophone banned to stop porn

SGE.TIG31.031006110029.photo00.quicklook.default-245x161.jpg Cambodia's leading mobile phone network has launched 3G services, reports Todayonline.com, but dropped a videophone feature that Prime Minister Hun Sen banned to stop the spread of pornography.

"Hun Sen in May banned 3G after his wife and the spouses of other government leaders complained the technology could fuel the spread of pornography after a proliferation of obscene photos being transmitted via mobile phones last year."
