The Use of RFID in a Japanese Law Firm

Favorite blogger Konomi for RFID in Japan interviewed Mr. Teramoto, who is a CIO of Nishimura & Partners, a large law firm in Tokyo - on how the firm uses RFID.

"RFID is sued for tracking important books that are shared by lawyers. This year, Nishimura & Partners RFID-tagged 30,000 books in their in-house library. And the system allows lawyers to quickly find "lost" books using PDAs and RFID.

Before the introduction of this system, librarians had been checking checked-out books monthly, by visiting the rooms of all the lawyers."
