World's Tiniest Motor For Camera Phones

Shicoh Engineering has developed the world's most compact linear motor to regulate the autofocus function of cellular phone cameras,, reports Nikkei.

Shicoh will start shipping the 10 x 10 x 4.2mm motor in April. The device is 2-4mm smaller in length and height than conventional units and 3mm thinner.
