CellJournalist Invites Amateur Snaps of Rare Snowstorm
With a rare snowstorm predicted for the San Francisco Bay Area tonight and tomorrow, online photo site CellJournalist is inviting anyone with a camera phone or other digital camera to snap away and send the images to pix@celljournalist.com.
Cell Journalist founder Parker Polidor says he will share the best snow photos with Bay Area media outlets for free.
"Our policy is to charge media for images they use from our site, but in this case we'll allow unlimited free usage for Bay Area print and broadcast news outlets," Polidor said. "This is a great opportunity to test the concept of Cell Journalist -- that ordinary people using their cell phones or digital cameras can offer another dimension of news coverage."
