Jovanotti's latest clip filmed with a cameraphone
"Una storia d'amore" is the third single from the album Buon Sangue by Jovanotti and its videoclip has been made with a mobile phone.
This is not a first, the first music video shot using mobile phones in my books, was “Some Postman” by The Presidents of the United States of America, launched in October 2005, which was filmed in just one day using a plethora of Sony Ericsson mobile video phones.<
Jovanotti doesn't want to reveal the brand of the mobile phone used to make the clip as no sponsor was involved in the project. But the phone as video was used to attract attention to this new means of expression offered by the ubiquitous device.
The visual effect is fascinating and evokes the old super 8 format, which was once used for amateur movies and thus gives the mobile phone images more realism. The eye of the camera phone captures the simplicity of the things, follows the emotion, creates an intimate story.
