Videophone-Based Interview System for Engineers

System development firm SSE Corp. will be introducing a new interview process that enables system engineers to be interviewed for job openings using mobile phones with a videophone feature. Nikkei.net reports.

"Prospective hires can log onto the system via the company's recruitment Web site, allowing them to be interviewed by SSE personnel at the appointed date and time from wherever they are.

Connecting to the site at other times will prompt questions prepared by the company's employment directors. Responses are to be recorded with the consent of the applicant, with promising candidates invited to subsequent interviews."
