Researchers Develop Tech To Create 3-D Moving Image From Photo

A team of researchers at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, led by Professor Katsuhiro Kitajima, has developed technology to create a three-dimensional moving image from one photo, sources close to the team said, according to Nikkei.net

"The technology has shortened the calculation time needed to make moving images by removing trivial items such as the window frames of a building.

It is expected to enable mobile phones with limited calculation abilities to show animation movies and video games using high-resolution moving images."
