Touch and Go into your apartment
Hitachi developed a security system for apartments, which allows residents to open their doors using SUICA, popular "touch & go" RFID train passes.
Residents who want to use their SUICA cards as apartment keys just need to register the 17 digit number printed on the back of the cards. The system was installed at a new apartment building in Fujisawa city in Kanagawa prefecture.
