Man charged over secret mobile-phone filming

A man has been charged after allegedly setting up a mobile phone to secretly film people using a bathroom at a house in Sydney, reports SMH.

The concealed video phone was allegedly discovered by a 13-year-old girl at a residence in Merrylands West. She told her mother about the phone who then contacted police.

A 27-year-old man, known to the girl and her mother, was arrested and charged with filming for indecent purpose and install device to facilitate filming for indecent purpose.

He will appear in Fairfield Local Court next month.
