phonetv-main.jpg According to Iain S Bruce, Technology Editor for The Sunday Herald, the arrival of mobile phone television services in Britain is tipped to create a multi- million pound nightmare for regulatory authorities as controversy over the new gadgets' legal status prompts calls for a wholesale review of the country's TV licensing laws.

"... While universally acclaimed as “the next big thing”, controversy has flared up over the question of whether the new television-enabled handsets should be subject to the same licence fees as an ordinary set."
