QR Game for Shoppers
"e-Katamachi Shop Sugoroku 3" was an interesting event that took place in the city of Kanazawa earlier this month. The event demonstrated a possibility of a particular kind of "Click & Mortar" retail design.
Katamachi's local shopping area was turned into a big play field of Sugoroku game using QR codes displayed at the stores.
Shoppers navigated through the area towards a goal, using their mobile phones to scan the QR codes and to answer questions triggered by the codes. At the goal, the system judges shoppers'(players') personality traits according to collected information and suggests sales items that match them.
