Grand National streamed live to 3 network

Image00074900.jpeg Mobile operator 3 is offering its customers the ability to watch the famous steeplechase horse race, The Grand National on their mobiles, marking the first ever live TV stream to mobiles in the UK, reports Netimperative.

"The race from Aintree will be streamed live to 3 customers from 7- 9 April.

The coverage can be accessed by 3 customers by dialling 62750 and then pressing the “video call” button on their phone".

Last year, the BBC offered an innovative SMS service for the event, enabling race afficionados get in touch with their BBC TV team by SMS for results or expert analysis. cf Text message the BBC TV crew at the horse races.
