Citizen Journalism Has Arrived
The UK's Guardian newspaper has launched an appeal to readers to get snapping with their mobile phone cameras to generate coverage for the UK's forthcoming elections, reports Russel Buckley for The Mobile Technology Weblog.
"The Blair Watch Project (via Ben Hammersley) urges readers to email their pictures to The Guardian's Flickr account. They'll be available for pubic viewing, with the best republished on The Guardian's blog.
"It's a very smart move to tie up with Flickr, rather than trying to reinvent this wheel and shows that the team have their finger firmly on the online pulse", writes Russel.
