Mobile phone stalking on the rise

West Australian police warn that paedophiles are using new mobile phone technology to prey on young children, reports ABC news.

South Australian police are investigating one man for repeatedly sending video footage of himself committing lewd acts to a 12-year-old girl in Perth.

Detective Sergeant Gordon Fairman says offences of this nature are escalating, "That would be something we would be very frightened about."
"I think it's a warning to all parents to be very careful about what technology they place in the hands of their children," he added.

In a separate incident, Mirrabooka detectives have charged 24-year-old Clint Raymond Bunt from South Lake with repeatedly sending obscene images to three women in Perth in the last few months.
