Megapixel phones are hot: 1.7m sold within a Year in Korea

Megapixel phones are hot in Korea. Currently, there are 43 handset models with 1megapixel or higher image resolution and the sales of those handsets amounted to 1.7m over one year.

According to a report titled 'Megapixel Handsets in Korea : Market Analysis and 43 Models Breakdown' published by Telecoms Korea Research Team, there are:

-- 31 models of 1-megapixel phone

-- 7 models of 2-megapixel phones

-- 5 models of 3-megapixel phone which brings the total number of megapixel phone models selling in the nation to 43.
