digital watermarking technology for use with camera phones
Japanese company Digimarc is launching the first commercial application of a new digital watermarking technology for use with camera phones on a product catalogue. But the same technology will also be applied to packaging in the future. By Piranet via near near future.
"Market trials for the new technology begin later this year in Japan and will run for two months. Product catalogues will be printed with all the digital images being watermarked to allow consumers to easily navigate the Internet with their camera-enabled mobile phones."
