Canadian Mounties warn of new camera cell phone scam
Fears of identity theft related to credit cards and camera phones reaches Canada, reports the Vancouver Sun
"The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are warning people to watch out for a new camera cell phone scam.
Police say crooks stand next to shoppers in checkout lines in retail stores with camera cell phones in hand.
The phones can take a picture of a customer's credit card, which would give the scam artist vital information such as name, card number and expiration date".
