Govt targets adult images on mobile phones
The Government of Australia says there will soon be restrictions to protect people from receiving adult material via mobile phones, reports ABCNews Online.
"The Government has released a review into the Broadcasting Services Act and possible restrictions on pornography appearing on the Internet and mobile phones.
It has directed the Department of Communications to put in place new controls covering SMS messages and Internet images on mobile phones.
Peter Coronius from the Internet Industry Association says new mobile phones coming onto the market need particular attention. "We will have solutions in place to protect families," he said."
