School Officials Ban Cell Phones After Cheating Attempt
Officials at a Salinas high school have banned cell phones after a student used a camera phone to photograph an exam and tried to send it to a friend, reports the AP.
"The principal of Everett Alvarez High School says a teacher caught the student who took the photograph of a test before he was able to transmit the image.
The Salinas Union High School District has had a ban on electronic devices in its schools since last year.
But teachers could use their discretion whether to confiscate the phones or tell students to put them away. Now teachers must confiscate any phones they see".
It would be interesting to see the picture... Has anyone ever tried taking a picture of a page, then actually been able to read it? Doesn't work for me and I have a Nokia 6600 cameraphone...
