Smile, please - in case you're stealing my car
Camera phones may become the latest weapon in the fight against violent car theft, according to smh.com.au.
Following a high number of car-jackings, were the seller has been forced out of the vehicle during a test drive, a senior Australian police officer has recommended "that private sellers of motor vehicles take a photo of prospective buyers and record their licence particulars before allowing a test drive."
This reminds of a previous post about a US mobile security company, RealSafe.net, which suggests real estate agents user their camera phones - not to shoot property - but to snap pictures of their clients (with their permission) as a safety measure.
RealSafe.net offers as a paying service, to store the pictures in a secure database, which can only be accessed by court order.
