MMS drop fall in Sweden

Good news for Swedes. On March 10, TeliaSonera Sweden will be reducing the prices of its Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) by close to 25%, from US$0.51 to US$0.39 per message, according to Cellular News.

"The new price applies not only to MMS messages sent to other Telia subscriptions, but also to other operators.

On February 20th, Telia introduced free MMS messaging during the weekends. The campaign runs until 2 may 2004, and until then Telia's customers will be sending MMS messages free of charge on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

In 2003, TeliaSonera Sweden's customers sent over 2.3 million MMS messages".
