Thailand to Crack Down on Porn for Phones
The government has called on Thais to reject immodest attire and premarital sex as part of its ongoing drive to curb youth crime and restore traditional values, according to the AP.
"The Culture Ministry plans to take legal action against companies that provide pornographic images for mobile phone users to download and display on their handsets, ministry spokesman Mongkol Khowattanawongruk said Thursday".
"The production, sale or distribution of pornography is illegal in Thailand. Offenders convicted of the offense face a maximum penalty of up to three years in prison".
